2001: University Fellowship Program – Netherlands Fellowship Program (UFP-RFP) from NUFFIC (http://www.nuffic.nl) to study M.Sc. Tropical Forestry at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. The fellowship covers all the fees at university, a monthly stipend of 627 Euros for the 17 months period from August 17, 2001 – Feb 3, 2003, health insurance, and travel costs (both domestic and international).

 1999: ITTO Fellowship for short-term study on Identification of Conflicts in Community based forest management in Nepal. Awarded by International Tropical Timber Organization, Japan, for a period of 4 months study. Award amount: US$ 3357 – jointly awarded with Mr. Binod Regmi.
